Image Format

<img class="thumb-image" data-image="http://ift.tt/1lJUPia" data-image-dimensions="990x643" data-image-focal-point="0.5,0.5" data-load="false" data-image-id="537685e9e4b0edb14eae25e9" data-type="image" src="http://ift.tt/TciH4W" />

As a note, your image width should be no larger 1500px.

1500px is the maximum size our system displays.

For Galleries, the widest image will span the full width of the available content area while the shortest image will determine the height of the block and all images in the block. All images taller than the shortest image will be resized to fit the height of the shortest image.

You will also want to make sure to keep your file sizes as small as possible as this is what causes slowness on website load times. A good rule of thumb is that you do not what to exceed higher triple digits for file size (i.e 500kb is good) nor do you want to dip below double digits in (i.e. 5kb not good).
